Cleanse

Fall break from school has lead to many great opportunities.  My new schedule allows more time for working out, meditation and Pilates.  Now that my mental self is calm, it is time to work on the physical self.  Replacing alcohol with kombucha (besides random weekend activities) has given me the energy and motivation to reconstruct my physical routine.

I will succeed.

Much of my inspiration arrived from a very fresh friendship.  This person is a reflection of myself and what I was and wanted to be.  This out of body spiritual high reminded me of how I am nature.  The chemicals surrounding me are killing my spirit.  Pesticides floating in the air, genetically modified organisms poisoning our bodies, fossil fuels damaging the earth which gives me life...and what do I do, NOTHING.  Society, myself included, adapt.  Adapting to the capitalistic world is killing us.  We must fight for our bodies, our children, our health, our world, without fitting we will not succeed.

Car Doors

It looks like Autumn decided to show her pretty face.  The foliage, crisp morning air, white girls have seizures over pumpkin spice lattes, what more could the Midwest ask for. As I ride my bike through the Illinois streets, my biggest challenge is dodging the car doors.

This week I have been cursed with an illness.  I do not believe it is the germs of the seasons changing, but my actions of the recent past.  Although anyone around me doesn't realize the inner struggle, it is there, in the present.

I apologize.

Dodging car doors.  Being the best person I can be.  It is all that I want in life.  To help people, to be a great mother, to get up every morning smiling.  Is all I ever want.

Some times the demons get the best of us.  I will continue forward.  Jump over this hurdle.

I am a good person.  I am a great mom.

Dodge the car doors.

Ozymandias

"I met a traveller from an antique land
Who said: "Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. Near them on the sand,
Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown
And wrinkled lip and sneer of cold command
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed.
And on the pedestal these words appear:
`My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings:
Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!'
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare,
The lone and level sands stretch far away."

Ozymandias

Written by Percy Bysshe Shelley and is based on a real person: Ramses the Great. The poem tells of a traveler who comes upon a broken statue in an empty desert, a likeness created of a man who once ruled his land with an iron fist but ultimately fell.

Power. Live. Life. Full. Fail. Fall. Love. Noregrets. Dignity. Feel. Reach. Soar. Love.

Much like the modern day BREAKING BAD. Symbolism.

New Beginnings

Inspiration, loneliness, overwhelming need to express..all excuses to start up my blog again.  All previous entries deleted.  A change in layout/background in the works.

 Anewbeginning.

Finally being the person my 24 year old self wished and wanted, but being held back by family, responsibility, maturity, life.

This is the happiest I've ever been.

This is my A.L.L.E.G.O.R.Y.
